Student Ambassadors Certified in Wilderness & Remote First Aid

The Student Ambassadors recently began their outdoor training by completing the 16-hour syllabus and earned their Wilderness and Remote First Aid certifications from the American Red Cross. During the trip, students learned about patient assessment, evacuation considerations, and managing common injuries and illnesses encountered in the backcountry while practicing with a number of hands-on scenarios.

We would like to thank the Schuemann's for the generous use of their property, Dr. Schuemann, Dr. Bevill, Miss Simpson, and Sophia S. for lending their expertise in instructing the course, and Miss Grace, Mr. Morone, Mrs. Foster, and Mrs. Carvalho for chaperoning the event.
