Are you interested in joining the Ridgeview family? Ridgeview happily accepts applications throughout the year for all faculty and staff positions, regardless of whether a specific position has been posted, as jobs periodically become available throughout the year. Teachers are hired based upon their mastery of academic disciplines and ability to convey knowledge to young people. Certification is neither required nor preferred.
Unless otherwise noted, a complete application includes a Ridgeview Application Form, a résumé, a one-page letter of interest, and copies of transcripts. Ridgeview Classical Schools is seeking dedicated and experienced individuals to join our school as the Head Coach for our Middle School Girls' Basketball team. Ridgeview is part of the Northern Colorado Independent League (NCIL) comprising 13 schools from Fort Collins to Milliken. Basketball is offered to students in grades 5- 8 and practices are held on campus. As the Assistant Coach you will be responsible for:
Assisting in Creating Workout Planning: Collaborate with the Assistant Basketball Coach(es) to develop effective practice plans that adapt to the unique challenge of having a small gym.
Developing Character: At Ridgeview we believe in the power of athletics to instill important life skills. Your role will extend beyond the physical training as you guide students in developing qualities such as teamwork, discipline, resilience, sportsmanship, and Ridgeview's eight character pillars.
Supporting Skill Development: Work with students to develop fundamental basketball skills, including but not limited to shooting, dribbling, passing, offensive plays, and defensive techniques.
Communicating Effectively: Keep open lines of communication with parents and students, providing updates on progress, upcoming events, and other relevant information.
You must be available to conduct practices from 3:45-5:30 Monday-Friday. Coaching experience is preferred, but it is not required. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of sport-specific training methods and techniques an possess a positive mindset.
