Vocal Music

Ridgeview offers a comprehensive music program that encompasses vocal performance for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Students in elementary school participate in a weekly music class and have the opportunity to showcase their progress through an annual performance. Club and elective choirs are available for students who have a passion for singing.

Instrumental Music

Throughout their education at Ridgeview, students have the option explore and acquire skills in playing instruments. In elementary, students become familiar with the sounds produced by different instruments and gain knowledge about their functions. As they progress, they can opt for orchestra or band as an elective, allowing them to continue their musical journey.

Performing Arts

There is nothing as classical as drama! Students in grades 7-12 have the opportunity to perform in a fall play and spring musical. Students involved in performances act, sing, dance, build, paint and sew. They also learn team work, responsibility, and create lifelong memories. Ridgeview also offers a unique and outstanding dance program. Students can take dance lessons in swing and ballet.

Visual Arts

We seek to understand the inter-connectedness of Art with other disciplines, uncovering parallels between art and history, science, music, literature, philosophy, and culture. We ask, “What is Art?”, “What compels artists to create Art?”, and “What is the function of Art?” Our students explore a broad range of media and methods to develop their visual acuity.

Grace Notes

Grace Notes is a children’s choir open to grades 2-4. A grace note is used to add color or ornamentation to a musical passage. This group “adds color” to our upper school performances. This is the first opportunity for children to “audition” for performing arts.
