Miss Price, Literature & History Faculty

Miss Price grew up in the green mountains of Vermont, where she learned to love maple syrup and the natural world. As an undergraduate, Miss Price studied philosophy and English literature at Messiah College in Grantham, Pennsylvania. She also read Plato’s Republic as a visiting student at the University of Oxford in the UK.

In 2014, Miss Price discovered the world of classical education and began working at Classical Academic Press in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. After studying the tradition for three years, she moved to Richmond, Virginia to take a teaching position at Veritas School, where she taught for seven years. Miss Price has taught across many disciplines in grades 5-12, with a focus on literature, poetry, and writing instruction. Her favorite teaching accomplishments are reading Tolkien and Homer with middle schoolers and teaching Hopkins to poetry skeptics of all ages.

While teaching, Miss Price earned a Master’s degree in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland, where she discovered she loves Euclid and Lobachevsky nearly (but not quite) as much as she loves Shakespeare and Dostoyevsky.

Miss Price came to Ridgeview in the fall of 2025, lured to Colorado by family, friends, and the promise of sunshine. She spends her weekdays teaching logic, history, and literature, and her weekends finding alpine lakes.
