Mr. Pytluk, Martial Arts Faculty

Mr. Pytluk has been training in the martial arts for over 40 years. In that time, he earned black belts in Vadha Kempo Karate, Goshin Jutsu and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He has also earned many ranks below black belt in arts such as Ninjutsu, Goju Ryu, Jeet Kune Do, Judo, Tae Kwon Do and Kenpo.

Martial arts has become a way of life for Mr. Pytluk since he first saw those 70's Shaw Brother's Kung Fu movies on Saturday afternoons. So much so, he began his training at 10 years old and pretty much never stopped. He's even fought in MMA, Boxing, Kick boxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and stick & knife fighting tournaments.

Mr. Pytluk earned his Bachelor's degree in Exercise & Sports Science from Colorado State University. He found his way to Ridgeview via the Strength & Conditioning and Fitness industry. Mr. Pytluk has trained athletes of all sports from high level youth athletes to high school and college athletes. He's trained many professional MMA fighters for the UFC, Bellator, WEC and World Series of fighting, as well as, top Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitors for national and international competition. Mr. Pytluk was also the strength and conditioning coach for an Olympic athlete representing Judo in preparation for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

At Ridgeview, Mr. Pytluk teaches grades 1-12. The elementary students are learning the basics of Karate and Goshin Jutsu. While the 7th, 8th and Upper School students are learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. In his down time, Mr. Pytluk enjoys lifting weights, playing FlingGolf (he's their 1st Champion), hiking and reading. 

Mr. Pytluk is married to his lovely wife Kelly, and they have two boys studying at CSU. They also have two golden retrievers that keep them busy.

Where were you born and where have you lived?
I was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, raised in Staten Island, New York, and lived in Fort Collins, CO since 1996.

Where did you attend university or college?
I attended Colorado State University.

What kind of reading do you most enjoy doing?
I enjoy books on history, and motivation.

What are the small essentials that make life more comfortable?
Having a loving spouse.

What are your favorite snacks?
Popcorn & Doritos mixed together.

What do you do to unwind?
I like to lift weights, martial arts, and meditate.
