Welcome to Ridgeview, Mr. Best!

Ridgeview is pleased to welcome Mr. Best to Ridgeview’s Mathematics department this year!

Mr. Best was born and raised in Southern Illinois, but he loves living out west. He and his wife, Molly, have been married for a year and a half, and they are expecting their first child in March. They recently relocated from Southern California, and they can’t wait to experience the seasons again. Mr. Best earned both of his degrees in Mathematics. He was always drawn toward the sciences until college when he began taking courses that opened his eyes to true mathematics. He became captivated by the worlds we can explore there – and all for free at our desks! Now, Mr. Best is passionate about understanding the nature of mathematics, its proper role in our lives, and how we might experience it more fully and meaningfully. 

Mr. Best came across Ridgeview online, and he was impressed by the high regard that Ridgeview has for both academics and character. He is excited about the opportunity to continue to grow as a mathematician through teaching and interacting with fellow faculty, as well as to build relationships with students and help them navigate this time in their lives in some small way. 

We look forward to welcoming Mr. Best to Ridgeview and hope that everyone will help him settle into his new position.
