Upcoming: Principal's Briefing

Dear Ridgeview,

For those of you who are interested, I would like to invite you to attend a Principal’s Briefing on August 3, 2020 from 6:30pm-7:30pm. Given the strangeness of our times, and the rapidity with which information from local authorities changes, I anticipate that these briefings will become standard, weekly fare through early to late fall.

The purpose of these briefings will be to convey information as it is made known to us. I want for parents to hear about the measures Ridgeview is taking to continue the education of our students and to keep everyone involved safe. There are many hard decisions and I want for you to understand our rationale for the various decisions that must be made. Additionally, I hope to hear from you about your concerns for the fall.

As the surveys and my correspondence with the parent community have shown, it is generally believed by people that there is more unanimity within the community than there is. There are intelligent voices on both sides of the issue and many and diverse legitimate concerns that require consideration, compassion, and ultimately, decision. In bringing people together, it is my hope that we can make everyone more comfortable with the decisions that will eventually be made.
