Mrs. Fisher
Where were you born and where have you lived?
I was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma but have lived in Colorado Springs for the majority of my life. I lived in Boston for three years after getting married and am looking forward to making a return to Colorado, but this time, in the Fort Collins area!
Where did you attend university or college?
I got my associate degree at Pikes Peak Community College and my bachelor’s at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs in inclusive Elementary Education.
What kind of reading do you most enjoy doing?
I read alot of fiction accross the gamut - children’s fiction, teen fiction, and anything from the Classics to sci-fi, historical fiction, mysteries, or other styles of writing. I also discover random historical interests that I tend to explore for short seasons. For example, right now, I’ve been very fascinated with the life and death of Princess Diana and that has led to reading her autobiography and other books written about her.
What are the small essentials that make life more comfortable?
I would say small essentials that make life more comfortable are walks outside, hot drinks, and spontaneous adventures!
What are your favorite snacks?
I believe anything is a snack if you believe in it. I stand by Motts fruit snacks, Trader Joes White Cheddar Corn Puffs, and any kind of smoothie that has mango in it.
What do you do to unwind?
In order to unwind, I usually read a book, play a game, go for a walk outside, or bake.
