Mrs. Schlatter

Where were you born and where have you lived?

I was born in Louisiana, but I have lived most of my life in Wisconsin. I have also lived in Georgia, Nebraska and now Colorado.

Where did you attend college or university?

I attended York College (NE) where I earned my BA in Business Administration. I obtained my Master’s degree in Christian Formation & Ministry, with a concentration in Outdoor Leadership through Wheaton College (IL).

What kind of reading do you enjoy most?

I enjoy reading classic novels, and actually collect early editions of them as a hobby. My favorite novel is Jane Eyre.

What are the small essentials that make life more comfortable?

A daily cup of coffee, a good book to read, a light cardigan because I’m almost always cold.

What are your favorite snacks?

Anything with peanut butter and chocolate. Dark chocolate. Fruit and chocolate. You can’t go wrong with chocolate.

What do you do to unwind?

I love curling up with a good book, going for long walks, spending time outdoors with my husband and close friends.

How could a parent volunteer help you the most?

At home, read with your children and help them stay on top of their assignments. At school, ask me! There may be curriculum parties that need extra prep or volunteer help. Help cleaning desks and organizing the classroom. Let me know if you have special skills or interests that can be helpful!
