Mrs. Romo

Mrs. Romo was born and raised in the beautiful country of Albania. There, she attended the University of Tirana and received her Bachelor’s degree in English. She taught English to high school students and was an interpreter for Hope for the World Foundation before she moved to the United States to marry the love of her life and made Fort Collins her home.

Mrs. Romo has been a Ridgeview parent of two daughters, a volunteer, and currently serves as a teacher's assistant in sixth grade and handwriting instructor for third to sixth grade elementary students. She is passionate about cursive and is excited about the opportunity to teach students this valuable skill. She cherishes conversations with students about the books they are reading, celebrating their achievements, and sharing their daily adventures.

In her free time, Mrs. Romo loves spending time with her wonderful family and friends, reading, gardening, and traveling to discover new places whenever she gets a chance.

Where were you born and where have you lived?

I was born and raised in the beautiful country of Albania where I taught English in high school and was an interpreter for Hope for the World Foundation before I moved to the United States and made my home in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Where did you attend university or college?

I attended The University of Tirana in Albania and received my Bachelor's degree in English.

What kind of reading do you most enjoy doing?

I enjoy reading historical fiction and non fiction, and mysteries.

What are the small essentials that make life more comfortable?

Flowers, books, blankets,and kitchen gadgets.

What are your favorite snacks?

My favorite snacks are dark chocolate, roasted chestnuts, pomegranates, persimmons,  and a variety of cheeses.

What do you do to unwind?

To unwind, I like to garden, take a walk, or snuggle up with a blanket and watch a movie with my family.

How could a parent volunteer help you most?

Please consider helping in the sixth grade with Young Aristotle, Eco Week, cleaning desks, or organizing the library shelves. Parent volunteers are awesome and are most appreciated!
