Mr. Rewerts
Mr. Rewerts grew up in Louisiana, where he graduated with a BS in Physics from Louisiana State University. He moved to Colorado to attend graduate school at Colorado School of Mines, where he graduated with a Masters in Geophysics. At Mines, Mr. Rewerts participated in research focused on computational geophysics and he has experience building computers, programming in many different programming languages, and applying computer science to model and solve physical problems.
Here at Ridgeview, Mr. Rewerts has taught 5th and 6th Grade Robotics Elective, Middle School Robotics, High School Robotics, Middle School Intro to Programming in Python, High School Intro to Programming in Python, 3D Modeling and Printing, Computer Application Essentials, Intro to Engineering, Computer Graphics and Game Design, AP Computer Science Principles, and AP Computer Science A. Mr. Rewerts is also the faculty sponsor for the Upper School Robotics Club, where students design, build, and program robots to compete in competitions throughout the year.
Mr. Rewerts is an avid reader and greatly enjoys the Colorado outdoors. He enjoys hunting, camping, fly fishing, and hiking in the mountains.

Where are you from and where have you lived?
I'm from Mandeville, Louisiana. I've lived in several different cities in Louisiana, California, and Colorado.
Where did you attend college or university?
I attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA and Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO.
What kind of reading do you enjoy most?
I most enjoy reading fantasy novels, but I also quite enjoy books about outdoorsmanship and fairy tales.
What are the small essentials that make life more comfortable?
Going on walks/hikes with my dog and having tasty desserts make every day better.
What are your favorite snacks?
My favorite snacks are baked goods and fancy cheeses.
What do you do to unwind?
Reading and working out are my favorite ways to unwind.
How could a parent volunteer help you the most?
If a parent volunteer had experience with the subjects I teach and wished to share, guest presentations would be interesting and helpful.
Why have you chosen to teach at Ridgeview specifically?
I've chosen to teach at Ridgeview specifically because of Ridgeview's academic philosophy and the emphasis Ridgeview puts on character education.
