Where were you born and where have you lived?

I was born in Missoula, MT; I grew up Falcon, CO (northeast of Colorado Springs); I have lived in Ft. Collins for the past 12 years.

Where did you attend university or college?

I attended St. John's College in Santa Fe, NM.

What kind of reading do you most enjoy doing?

I have little preference for topics or genres, so long as what I read is well written. My current reading stack includes a history of the Spanish conquest of the southwestern US, a cultural history of the periodic table of elements, a classic tale of vengeance, and a collection of recently-discovered German fairy tales.

What are the small essentials that make life more comfortable?

A comfortable reading chair, good light, an infrequently-trod mountain trail, dark night skies.

What are your favorite snacks?

Chex Mix, Reeses (ask me about my Reeses ranking system), bacon, New Mexico chiles.

What do you do to unwind?

Read, explore, stargaze, rock hound, find things I have not tried and give them a shot.

How could a parent volunteer help you most?

I greatly appreciate guest presentations by members of the community whose professional or personal interests intersect topics I cover in my classes.
