Where were you born and where have you lived?  

I was born in Minnesota and raised on a dairy farm. I’ve lived in Fairmont, MN, Moorhead, MN, and southern Haiti.  

Where did you attend university or college?  

Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.  

What kind of reading do you most enjoy doing?  

Biographies, the ingredient lists on lotion bottles, and anything that makes me think about the world at large and what my place may be in it. Some of my favorite books include the Great Divorce (really anything by C.S. Lewis), The Hiding Place, and Junie B. Jones and the Stupid Smelly Bus.  

What are the small essentials that make life more comfortable?  

Hot beverages, 100% cotton shirts, and running water.  

What are your favorite snacks? 

Fresh fruit! After that, anything sweet or chocolate-y. 

What do you do to unwind? 

I like to learn things. Usually this takes the form of listening to YouTube videos or podcasts while I’m doing something more mundane, like dishes or laundry.
