RCS Student competes in the 2019 FIRST LEGO League City Shaper State Championship

RCS student Silas M. competed in the 2019 FIRST LEGO League City Shaper season in Team #47121, "Choice City Robotics." The competition focused on solutions to improve cities. The team researched "Multigenerational Eco-Friendly Housing" development to address city issues including affordable/sustainable/efficient housing, traffic and parking congestion, and child- and eldercare availability and cost. At the Weld County qualifier on November 23, the team advanced to the State Championship by winning the 2nd place Championship Award. At the State Championship on December 7, the team received "Strategy & Innovation Award - 1st Place" for their robot design and programming. Well done!
