Mr. Perrin
Where were you born and where have you lived?
I was born and raised in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. After college, I spent a year studying in Rome, Italy. Before coming to Colorado, I lived in Richmond, Virginia with my wife and daughter.
Where did you attend university or college?
I earned my B.A. in philosophy from Messiah University in Grantham, Pennsylvania and my M.A. from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland.
What kind of reading do you most enjoy doing?
My favorite Roman poets are Vergil and Horace, my favorite English poets, Gerard Manley Hopkins and George Herbert. I also enjoy classic Russian and English novels and try to catch as many Shakespeare plays as are playing in town.
What are the small essentials that make life more comfortable?
Coffee, a comfortable chair, Agatha Christie novels.
What are your favorite snacks?
Kettle chips, chocolate, any gluten free/dairy free treat, or figs.
What do you do to unwind?
Playing, writing, and listening to music with other people, soccer, cross-country skiing, holding my baby and spending time with my wife, and reading a good book.
How could a parent volunteer help you most?
I always love to discuss the purpose of learning Latin with parents and talk to them about the ways we can support each other’s work in the classroom and at home.
