Miss Bellone
Miss Bellone grew up in Ft. Collins (Just a couple of blocks away from Ridgeview!). She received her Bachelor’s in Music at North Texas State University in Violin Performance. She then spent some time in Hartford, CT, studying violin at Hartt School of Music and playing professionally in regional orchestras. She finished her Master’s degree in violin performance/pedagogy, at University of Colorado, Boulder. Her emphasis was teaching the Suzuki Method. While at CU she was concert master of the symphony and a teaching assistant.
She taught individual lessons for university students as well as the violin/viola component of the string methods/technique class. She then spent many years living in Iowa. During this time she earned a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from University of Northern Iowa. She spent some time in this field but returned to teaching violin and playing in symphonies. She has played for many symphonies, opera orchestras, musicals, quartets and weddings.
During her time at Ridgeview Miss Bellone has taught 6th –8th grade core music, 5th and 6th grade beginning strings, Prelude Orchestra (Middle School), Sinfonia Orchestra (High School), and World Music. She has also taught the After School Violins and Enrichment Orchestra clubs.
Miss Bellone has been fortunate enough to travel to other continents and countries, including Europe several times, Mexico, Israel, and Egypt. Miss Bellone has two children. A girl, who is a professional opera singer and a boy, who is a professional artist (stained glass).
