Portrait of Mrs. Sjani Boggs, First Grade TA at Ridgeview Classical Schools

Mrs. Boggs has spent most of her life in Colorado. Colorado is and will always be home. Mrs. Boggs attended Colorado State University and graduated with a BS in Food Science and Human Nutrition. After college, Mrs. Boggs joined her husband with his work with The Nature Conservancy in the small town of La Veta, Colorado. In La Veta, Mrs. Boggs started a business that included personal chef services, personal training, nutrition consulting and worked with Huerfano County to improve health outcomes in the low-income population.

Mrs. Boggs returned home to Fort Collins. She took a break from working to be a full-time mom to Atticus and Eleanor. When it came time to think about kindergarten, Mrs. Boggs knew that she wanted something different than their neighborhood school. Remembering their first home in Fort Collins which looked out on Ridgeview Classical Schools, she investigated all the charter schools in Fort Collins and ultimately decided on Ridgeview for her children. Mrs. and Mr. Boggs loved the classical education program, the literature, arts, and character building within the curriculum.

Mrs. Boggs loved volunteering in her children’s classrooms and became a teaching assistant for Mrs. Jhones, one of the first-grade teachers at Ridgeview. She has been helping first grade students since 2019. Mrs. Boggs still loves to volunteer and help at school. When she isn’t busy cheering on her children at their basketball and volleyball games, she loves to do anything arts and crafts, spend time with her family and friends, exercise, and enjoys reading, learning, cooking, and staying up to date on all things nutrition and food science related.

Q & A with Mrs. Boggs

Where were you born and where have you lived?

Born in Salt Lake City, UT.  Been in CO since 2nd grade.  Have lived in Boulder, Louisville, Colorado Springs and LaVeta, Colorado.  Fort Collins is definitely HOME!

Where did you attend university or college?

I went to Front Range Community College and then graduated from Colorado State University in Fort Collins.

What kind of reading do you most enjoy doing?

My favorite kind of reading is that that educates me or teaches me something new or is motivating or strength/character building.  Still love to keep up on current nutrition education/findings/research.

What are the small essentials that make life more comfortable?

Good, strong coffee with cream; early mornings; exercise; family; art; kindness; gratitude; dear friends.

What are your favorite snacks?

Trader Joe’s Peanut or almond butter cups, fruits and veggies.

What do you do to unwind?

Unwind with a good book, early mornings with fresh air, and exercise.

How could a parent volunteer help you most?

I can’t think of a specific “thing” a parent could help with. As a volunteer myself, I find the most joy in just helping with whatever needs to be done in that moment.
