Mr. Trosper is a first-year teacher at Ridgeview, teaching a wide range of subjects from science to grammar. He earned his undergraduate degrees from Colorado State University in both Philosophy and English Literature. While new to classroom teaching in the traditional sense, he has spent the past two years teaching outdoor recreational skills at Colorado Youth Outdoors.

A Ridgeview alumnus, Mr. Trosper graduated in 2019 and is excited to return to the school in a new capacity. He has a deep passion for ancient philosophy and a strong appreciation for dystopian literature. An avid outdoorsman, he especially enjoys exploring Colorado’s landscapes through camping and hiking whenever he has the opportunity.

Where were you born and where have you lived?

I was born in Fort Collins, and lived here all my life.

Where did you attend university or college?

Stayed local, graduated from Colorado State University with two bachelor's, one in English and the other in Philosophy.

What kind of reading do you most enjoy doing?

I mostly enjoy reading philosophy or history, particularly those about the ancient Greeks and Romans.

What are the small essentials that make life more comfortable?

Coffee. I could not go without.

What are your favorite snacks?

Dark chocolate, gummy candies, and tea.

What do you do to unwind?

Fruits of any kind are my all time favorite.

How could a parent volunteer help you most?

I either go on long runs if I need to think, or binge watch television if I don't.
