As a Third Grade Teaching Assistant in Miss Bogle's classroom, Mrs. Hilles brings several years of experience working with young students. For the past two years, she has taught kindergarten through second-grade girls through M'pact Girls at her church on Wednesday evenings. She also volunteers regularly in her church's children's ministry.

She graduated from Community Care College in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 2014 from the Surgical Technology program. She and her family moved to Fort Collins from Tulsa in 2018 and became part of the Ridgeview community when their oldest daughter entered sixth grade. Now a junior, she is joined at Ridgeview by her fourth-grade and first-grade siblings.

She has volunteered at Ridgeview for the past several years and served as a Classroom Volunteer Coordinator (CVC) for third grade last year. She is excited to continue serving the Ridgeview community as a teaching assistant.

Q & A with Mrs. Hilles

Where were you born and where have you lived? 

I was born in Claremore, OK. I lived in Mounds, OK the first three years of my life and was raised in Tulsa, OK. I lived there until my family and I moved to Fort Collins in 2018.

Where did you attend university or college?

I attended Community Care College in Tulsa, OK for Surgical Technology and graduated in 2014.

What kind of reading do you most enjoy doing?

I enjoy attending the lady's Bible study at my church every week. I also enjoy reading fictional and thriller/suspense books.

What are the small essentials that make life more comfortable?

Attending church regularly is very essential to me. Music and having at least one cup of coffee makes my life very comfortable. Spending time with my family and friends. 

What are your favorite snacks? 

My favorite snacks are Frito Honey BBQ Flavor Twists, Utz Fried Dill Pickle Potato chips, and butter popcorn.

What do you do to unwind?

To unwind, I like to play my game on my tablet while binging a show I'm watching on TV. Listen to Christian music in the car on my way home.
